BASHIR A. IDRIS ANIMASHAUN, the Chairman, attended King’s College, Lagos and is a graduate of Economics from Manchester University. HE once worked in the Federal Civil Service as Administrative Officer from where he resigned to join Enterprise Development Company Limited in 1963. He became a Director and Company Secretary of Academy Press from its inception in 1964 and was appointed its Managing Director in 1968 and Executive Chairman in 1978. he retired from the Executive responsibility in 1996 and was consequently appointed as Non-Executive Chairman. However, as part of the then ongoing restructuring of the business, he was recalled by the Board in October 1999 to once again assume the Chief Executive responsibility of the company. He is also the chairman of West African Book Publishers Ltd, Academy Press Business Forms Ltd and Lithotec Limited. He is on the Board of some other business organisations. He was a one-time Chairman of Lagos State Development & Property Corporation.
OLUGBENGA
LADIPO is the Managing Director. He
is a qualified Accountant, a member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria an d the
Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy
from the Lagos State Polytechnic. He joined
Academy Press Plc as Head, Accounts in 1998
from a background of over ten years post-qualification
professional experience both in practice with
one of the top practicing firms and in industry
with one of the top Multinationals in the Food
& Beverages Industry. He has assisted in
repositioning the financial functions of the
company to meet the modern day challenges. He
is married with children.
MARTIN G. W. GOODMAN, Director and overseas representative of Academy Press Plc. Educated at Marlborough College, Wilshire and South Down College, Havana. He is a Director of Hambleside Limited, U.K., Technical Partners to Academy Press Plc. He joined Hambleside in 1979 and has held various positions before he was appointed to their board of directors in 1987. his first visit to Nigeria and Academy Press was in 1980, and has been responsible for procurement of raw materials as well as providing technical support to Academy Press since that date. Mr. Goodman is a Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies in the U.K.
SIMEON O. OGUNTIMEHIN (O.O.N) is among the fore-runners of Accountancy profession in Nigeria. He was for many years a Principal Partner for HLB Z.O. Ososanya & Co., one of the foremost accounting firms in Nigeria. He is currently engaged in private business concern. His appointment into the Board has impacted positively on the development of the company.
BABATUNDE J. FASHANU, the Executive Director, Sales & Marketing. He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University and Lagos Business School. He holds a B.Sc. Degree in Industrial Design and a Professional diploma in Marketing. He is a member of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria and British Institute of Printing. He joined Academy press in 1984 as a Production Planning Officer. In 1989, he was seconded to Lithotec Limited as a Customer Service Manager and later became the Marketing Manager. He was appointed the General Manager in 1994, a position he held before he became an executive Director in 2001, until he was redeployed to Academy Press to manage the Sales activities. Mr. Fashanu is married with children.
OLATUNJI IDRIS ANIMASHAUN, executive Director, Operations. He is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, the University of Essex, England and the Surrey European Management School, University of Surrey, Guildford, England. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Postgraduate Diploma in Financial & Business Economics and a M.Sc. in Management. Mr. Animashaun is a member of the Institute of Export in the U.K. He joined Academy Press in 2000 as the Executive Assistant to the Consultant from a background of five years in the Banking Industry and a couple of years in the computer vending/marketing business. He later became the General Manager, Supplies & Procurement, a position he held until he was appointed Executive Director, Operations in April 2004. He is married with children.
LASISI
A. ADERIBIGBE, a Director in the Company.
He is a graduate of Bespoke Programme in Print
Finishing at West Herts College, United Kingdom
and in addition holds a diploma in Business
English. He is a seasoned Lithographer with
wealth of experience in Graphics Arts. He has
attended various Print Solutions Courses overseas.
Before his present appointment, he was a Senior
Management Executive of Academy Press Plc and
a Director in Lithotec Limited. He is married
with children.
BABATUNDE
DABIRI, an astute and seasoned banker,
Tunde Dabiri holds a B.Sc. (Economics) degree
from the University of Ibadan (1974) and MBA
from Columbia University, New York, USA (1978).
He started his career at Chase Merchant Bank
Ltd (later known as Continental Bank) where
he spent over 11 years before moving to Prime
Merchant Bank Ltd as the founding Deputy Managing
Director/Chief Executive Officer. He disengaged
from Prime Merchant Bank in 1990 to help establish
Fountain Trust Bank Ltd where he was the Managing
Director for 8 years.
Mr. Dabiri later joined Magnum Trust Bank Plc
in December 1998 as the Managing Director/Chief
Executive Officer, successfully transforming
it into a full-fledged commercial bank after
the divestment of Guaranty Trust Bank. Until
his retirement in 2008, he was the Group Managing
Director/CEO of Sterling Bank Plc (the consolidated
consortium of 5 banks consummated in 2005).
He played a major role in change management
initiatives to ensure strategic business focus
on trade finance, capital markets and consumer
banking services for the organizations.
Mr. Tunde Dabiri is on the Board of several
organizations which include, in the education
sector: Lagos Business School Alumni Association,
Lagos State University Governing Council, University
of Ibadan Advancement Board, Corona Schools
Trust Council; and in the manufacturing sector:
Capetex Industries Ltd, Academy Press Plc, LT&C
Colleagues Ltd, among others.
FOLASHADE
B. OMO-EBOH (MRS), she is a graduate
of Psychology and Publishing from Yorkshire,
Huddersfield Polytechnic and Oxford Polytechnic,
Oxford, respectively. She joined the West African
Book Publishers Limited in 1990 as Assistant
Production Manager. She became Production Manager
in 1991 and Senior Production Manager in 1995.
She was promoted Executive Director, Production
& Publishing in March 1996 and became the
company’s Managing Director in 2001. She
was appointed to the Board of Academy Press
Plc in November 2009. Mrs. Omo-Eboh is a graduate
of Lagos Business School. She is married with
children.
