West African Book Publishers Limited (WABP), incorporated as a limited liability company on August 7, 1963, has its headquarters located at 28/32, Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju Industrial Estate, Ilupeju, Lagos. It was established to fulfill our dream of publishing locally, books, magazines, wall charts and diaries of internationally accepted standards. That dream has now been realised.
Our sister company, Academy Press Plc. - The Home of Printing Excellence is the biggest printing house within the West African sub region. WABP is a vibrant and truly indigenous company with two divisions:
(a) Educational and General Publishing.
(b) Annual Diary Publication.

Publishing Division
The Publishing Division publishes books for all strata of the society. The book publishing division of our company started in 1971, when it published a series of health journals, You and Yours which was distributed free to the public as a guide to Family health care. The company started publishing its own educational titles in 1984, and since then the publishing list has grown to include titles for all levels of he educational system, as well as general interest titles.

We have also in the past years embarked on various bulk supplies of our educational titles and relevant stationery to reputable organisations both government and private institutions. Among them are:-
National Primary Education Commission, Kaduna;
Federal Ministry of Education and Youth Development Authority, Abuja;
Petroleum Special Trust Fund;
Katsina State Library Board;
Lagos State Library Board;
The Nigerian Army Education Unit; and
The Nigerian Navy Education Corps among others.

We were beneficiaries of the World Bank Assisted Primary Textbook procurement exercise. We supplied our Primary Integrated Science Books 1-6, and Primary Social. Studies Books 2-6 and their Teachers Guides to fourteen (14) States of the Federation.

We were also one of the publishers who supplied some of their titles under the
Petroleum Special Trust Funds National Educational Materials Procurement
Programme (NEMPP) in August 1998.

Our Specialized Operations
As a going concern, and one of the earliest indigenous publishers committed to the growth and improvement of the educational Sector of the economy, we hereby offer our services to realise the true improvement and quality of education In the following areas of our operation:

(a) Supply of Primary and Secondary textbooks and their Teachers' Guides.
(b) Supply/Printing of School Stationery - Continuous Assessment Dossiers School Diaries, Exercise Books, Attendance Registers.
(c) Supply/Printing of Instructional Materials.
(d) Printing/Supply of General Examination Papers.

    Education being a dynamic enterprise, we have a strong Editorial team with a policy to publish in new areas of need and also strengthen our existing titles by continually revising them to meet challenges occasioned by curriculum development in a changing world.

    We have a well developed Sales/Marketing team that is nationwide in coverage.
